AdMob Showcases Services Using Framework GraphViz

The mobile advertising company, AdMob, has picked up a license of Constellation Framework for showing off their products.

This custom visualization features a tree navigation specially suited to AdMob's data. The selected node appears at center, its children in a ring around it, and their children on the next ring and so on. Clicking a node centers it and rearranges all the children.

During the recentering animation, the nodes move in such a way as to eliminate confusing and disorient crossovers or unnecessary movement. In addition to the custom layout, AdMob also uses half a dozen different node renderers which display both images and text. Some nodes even expand to reveal additional information when selected.

The app also includes a bar chart for displaying the most popular mobile devices and a stylized world map showing hits in real time!
