Visualizations by Asterisq

These are custom graph visualization apps built by Asterisq. In each case we worked with the client to build the best interface for exploring and understanding their data.

Wotnews Boardroom Connections

The Wotnews website uses Constellation to visualize the relationships between companies and directors. Their implementation includes a zoom control, custom layout physics, and a look and feel designed to fit in with the rest of their web application. Wotnews also takes advantage of a Javascript interface for tighter coupling of the visualization's state with their webpage.

Optimice Network of Professionals

Optimice's visualization of their professional network

Optimice has built a network of professionals and now they're using a custom solution to show their common interests. This visualization displays different nodes in different colors and shows the strength of the connections using line thickness and curvature. There is also a set of checkboxes for filtering the nodes.

Chevron Careers Tree Visualization

Chevron Careers Constellation Visualization

The Chevron Careers visualization is used to explore a tree of college degrees and career opportunities. This implementation uses custom node and edge renderers, smoother physics, and custom forces that make it easier to navigate the hierarchy: the parent of the selected node tends to the top left and the children to the bottom right.

Twitter Mentionmap Explorer

Mentionmap, a Twitter network visualization

The power of Twitter is in the conversation and Mentionmap is an impressive tool for exploring people and topics. This engaging interface shows who and what your network talks about the most. As a graph visualization, it has several features such as mouse-over effects, history, and tight integration with the Twitter API.

Mentionmap was developed by Asteriq to promote our work while giving users a powerful way to explore their network.
